Italian pianist, composer and producer Federico Albanese makes his debut at Misty Fest with his new work, Blackbirds and the Sun of October — an album deeply inspired by the autumnal landscape of Monferrato, in northern Italy, marking a return to his roots, memories and essence.

After years of creating in Berlin, where he established himself as one of the most unique voices in contemporary music, Albanese now returns to his homeland and lets this reconnection with nature, history, and the myths of childhood translate into luminous and contemplative music.

In this concert, we will hear pieces such as “A Story Yet To Be Told” and “The Prince and the Emperor”, where the piano whispers ancestral stories, accompanied by strings, discreet percussion and the fertile silence of the space between the notes.
His musical language blends the classical with the modern, tradition with sensory experience — as if Brian Eno met Erik Satie in an Italian forest at sunset.
On the stage of the Belém Cultural Centre, Federico Albanese's music finds the ideal setting to breathe — with delicacy, beauty and emotional depth. An unmissable debut at Misty Fest, for those who seek not only to listen, but to feel.
