On the same night, two soundscape architects take to the stage at the São Luiz Theatre for a masterclass of music for dreams.
Polish cellist Dobrawa Czocher brings her debut album to Misty Fest. Dreamscapes (2023), as well as material from a future album.
After graduating from two prestigious music universities – the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and the Hochschule für Musik in Detmold (Germany) – she joined the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and later became principal cellist of the Neue Philharmonie Berlin, as well as a soloist with the Szczecin Philharmonic. There, he acquired a deep mastery of the classical repertoire and distinguished himself as one of the leading cellists.
Alongside his friend and fellow Polish pianist Hania Rani, Czocher ventured into composition, releasing the albums Biała Flaga (2015) and Inner Symphonies (2021). The latter, released by the renowned Deutsche Grammophon label, achieved worldwide recognition.
The naturalness with which she blends philharmonic music with more alternative approaches to recording and sound is what makes Dobrawa Czocher's solo music such a serious affair. At the festival, she will reveal the magic and meaning of states of unconsciousness.
